Mrs. Zhang is the Vice President of ChaoPai who was assisted by Peggy Peng, the assistant general manager, with translating when speaking with Ignite BL TV's Sarah Miller. ChaoPai is an official sponsor of the IBL and have provided excellent grade shuttlecocks for our members in Divisions 2, 3, & 4 this season. Mrs. Zhang commented on her expectations and commitments to IBL as the league sets out to evolve the industry in Canada.

Didier Chung is not only the Ontario Regional Manager for Yonex Canada, he is also the individual responsible for establishing initial steps in a partnership with Ignite Badminton League. While watching a series of ties at Epic Sports Badminton in Scarborough, Didier graciously spoke with Ignite BL TV's Sarah Miller about the support Yonex continues to offer IBL, as well as the growth and expansion of IBL itself.

Jack Wong, co-owner of Epic Sports Badminton in Scarborough, Ontario, recently took time out to speak to Ignite BL TV's Sarah Miller. Jack's new facility is spacious, well lit, and features 15 badminton courts -- and there's a fully stocked Yonex Store on site! Jack spoke about the many things Epic Sports features, as well as the support his facility is offering IBL this season . . . and what that means for his newly opened business.

Li Ho Ming is the coach of two teams participating in IBL's 2016-17 season; both of his teams train out of 4 U Badminton Club in Mississauga. Ignite BL TV`s Sarah Miller recently had a chance to talk to Ho Ming about the aspirations he has for his all of his players in the season ahead. They spoke, too, about his athletes' development and the differences he is personally experiencing after having transitioned from playing on a team last season to coaching two teams this season.

Jason Ho-Shue and Katie Ho-Shue are a brother / sister duo who are Canadian National athletes that play on the same team, train at the same club, and make 'sibling rivalry' work to their advantage on the court. Mendy Holtzman is a badminton coach at Shahph Puma Sports Club in Brampton, Ontario. He is also an Ignite Badminton League Division 4 team manager. While supporting his team during the group's first tie of the 2016-17 season, Mendy spoke with Ignite BL TV's Sarah Miller. He has had some impressive podium moments over the years. The athletic accolades that Brian Yang has collected have included triple crowns and National Championship victories. Packed with talent, Brian plays up a level (U19), and yet still manages to impress and dominate time and time again. Humble and earnest, he was easily one of the most modest athletes Sarah Miller has ever interviewed. Not only is he Father to Brittney Tam, one of our nation's most phenomenal badminton players, he is also currently the Treasurer of Badminton Canada. A board member of Badminton Canada for two years now, Martin Tam, keeps extra-busy shuttling his son Carter back and forth to badminton practices four days a week. Heavily immersed in the sport for more than a decade now, this is one Dad who knows his stuff. Thank you to Martin Tam for taking time out to speak to us here at Ignite BL TV.
